In Imail usage, if a mail domain has its own ip, it's a real domain, not a virtual.

Ok, a real domain.

Imail as MX relay is very simple to set up and clearly documented in the Imail user manual.

The part I missed the first time through the manual was that "Relay Mail For IP address" also applies to destinations. I thought it was only a list of who to accept mail from. With that cleared up, it becomes easier.

One of the ideas I have is to configure the domain to be transitioned on the iMail server, and then transition users as I can. The idea being that if iMail can't deliver the message to an account for that domain locally, it will send it on to the old mail server. I forgot to mention that we use only IMAP here. The continuation of the plan is to visit each workstation, create a new IMAP account that points to the iMail server, use the client software to move messages, then delete the old account.

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five
miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know
where the hell she is.
