We  did  a migration from NIMS 2.6 to IMail for a client, and the only
problem,  IIRC, was with the date format on the message delimiter (the
'From  '  line).  I  replaced each such date with a dummy in the IMail
date  format  (using  a  text  editor, no programming necessary) and I
don't  believe  any messages or dates were munged. Be sure not to copy
the index file, as IMail needs to recreate the UID.
