Agreed. Filtering on message size and acting on it would be best done at the
server level, from an admin's point of view. Until such time as Ipswitch can
incorporate a "size" attribute in its set of inbound rules (the wish-list
item), RMilner is out of luck pursuing his initial goal.

However, for this to work flawlessly, all mail servers would need to send
size information for every message they deliver during the initial SMTPD
transaction (namely, before the DATA segment).
