I wanted to check into this further. Called Bill at Microsoft (1-800-426-9400, option 4, then 3, then 2). He pointed me to the latest updated Microsoft Licensing Product Use Rights PDR at: http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/8/9/68964284-864d-4a6d-aed9-f2c1f8f23e14/PUR.pdf
On page 38 paragraph f: "Windows Server 2003, Web Edition Usage Rights. The Server Software may be used solely for deployment of Web pages, Web Sites, Web Applications, Web Services, and POP3 mail serving." He agreed that Ipswitch Imail is an allowed application for Windows Server 2003, Web Edition. -Joe ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sanford Whiteman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Grant Stufft" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2003 11:26 PM Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Windows 2003 Server versions? > > Which versions of Windows 2003 can be used with Imail? > > It's a violation of the EULA to use the Web edition. > > -Sandy > > > ------------------------------------ > Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist > Broadleaf Systems, a division of > Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. > e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > ------------------------------------ > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ > Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
