Benny, is this server live or are you just testing this configuration on a new box before going live with it? Is there any actual load on the SMTP server?
The reason I ask is that I have experienced the same problem moving an IMail server with over 3000 virtual hosts to a Windows 2003 Server box. The problem did not only affect the display in the IMail Administrator but more importantly the performance of the SMTPD32 service. Unfortunately we didn't realize this until we went live with the new server. It would appear that the cause of the IMail Admin problem is the way it reads values from the registry. The SMTP server also needs to read the registry to authenticate user credentials, etc. The result was that the SMTP server was processing mail so slowly that it began rejecting connections and thousands of messages were backing up on our secondary server. Eventually we had to roll back to the original Windows 2000 server box. So, I'm curious. Does the workaround from Ipswitch fix the entire problem or just the IMail Admin display problem? Still I would liked that mail coming from Imail/ Ipswitch was clearly marked as coming from Ipswitch and not from Tripp Allen, getting around 5 - 600 mails everyday and that's not spam its easy to overlook such an important mail But to share the information with you all What to do is this: "I can give you a temporary workaround that should speed up your display. This should work until a fix is released. This issue only effects Windows 2003. The workaround is to add a string value to your registry. Go to regedit, HKLM/software/ipswitch/imail/domains. Create a string value here called Address, but don't assign any value to it. This should speed up your IAdmin display when listing the domains." Done in 5 secs and it like night and day listing all the domains Thanks Tripp Benny -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tripp Allen Sent: 25. oktober 2003 18:44 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Benny, I sent you mail this morning off list to your reply to address.
