Now they are the 6 servers of Hotmail with Timed out.
This goes of badly to worse.

Ok, I've just dumped all the caches that I have.  The very next message to hotmail.com has failed against all four servers:

64.4.50.50 (mx1.hotmail.com)
65.54.190.179 (mx4.hotmail.com)
64.4.50.179 (mx3.hotmail.com)
65.54.190.50 (mx2.hotmail.com)

Now, when I do a lookup, my dns server is reporting four different IPs for each mx record, for a total of 16 servers.  It'd be nice if IMail could check all of them instead of the first one.

Couple of things to try when having delivery problems with Hotmail:

1) Clear DNS Cache in IMail Administrator Queue Manager (maybe clear the skip list too)

2) Look at the SMTP Service screen, noting the Domain Name Server address there, then go to that machine and into the DNS service
MMC and clear that cache as well.

Hotmail serves up DNS MX records in a rotation, if you're stuck on MX1 in your DNS server's cache, then you'll keep getting it in
IMail.  Clearing both of these (maybe more than once) should get your DNS server to pick up MX2/3/4 and feed that to IMail and then
your mail might deliver better.  I've noticed also that Hotmail DNS records have an amazingly short TTL, as can be seen here:

Furthermore, when I do a lookup for their mx1 server, I get four IPs.  If I
telnet to the first one, I can't connect, but I can connect (quickly) to
the other three.  Can IMail try all four results, or does it only try the
first one?
