I just read about it today too, but they also have a log viewer that is
free so if you use that.... Probably looking nice?  (at least we can
hope)

It would be nice if that would stay if you restarted services, however I
usually make two to three changes per day that require a SMTP/Queue
Manager Start and Stop. Sounds like I would be asking for it.

Since I moved the spool directory outside of IMAIL, performance has
improved tremendously.

Opening 100 meg log files previously would take up to 3 minutes, now
only take 15 seconds.  The difference is obviously read/write contention
and fragmentation.  It has also made a tremendous difference in
searching the log file.

I also will try the UltraEdit, thanks for the recommendation Jason.

Anyone use the Kiwi Log Server?  Is it ugly or easy to read?

It  is.  Change  the  spool  directory  before you start SYSLOGD, then
change it back once it's running. It loads the file path only once, at
initialization.
