I need help to locate a problem my client has. Basically someone sent her
an email on Friday afternoon, but she only received it on Saturday morning.
She aint happy about it... and requested that I find out the problem and
explain what happened. Being new to all these internet protocol thingie...
I would be glad is you guys can help me out here.

Below is the email header that I have extracted...

Received: from W2KAESB040 ([192.192.100.50])
        by ntw40mailsvr.jaring.my (InternetNow! MailNow! 3.495);

This is the only Received: header. It is not a header from IMail, so this isn't your issue. She is not using your IMail server to retrieve this E-mail. Her mailserver received the E-mail at 10:32AM local time on Saturday, so she would need to have someone check the logs of her mailserver to find out what happened.

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
From: "sender" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To: "receiver" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Fri, 16 Jul 2004 17:12:37 +0800

This does show that the E-mail was sent at 17:12PM Friday local time, so it did take a long time to be delivered. But her mailserver didn't receive the E-mail until Saturday morning, suggesting that the mailserver sending the E-mail had troubles reaching her mailserver.

Now .. the sender and receiver are from the same domain... normally this
should be straightforward and easy ... but i think they use
some sort of software to handle email forwarding or something ... (this part
i really dont understand ... why? wouldnt that be more
complicated?)

If they are, either they aren't using your mailserver at all, or their program isn't RFC compliant, and she needs to realize that by using it, she is running her own mailserver, and she has to take control of mail delivery issues.
