The Bing imagery is 2011 and some of the clearings have buildings in them.

If it was a difference in time between the imagery and the data, I would 
expect to see about as many voids in the data without voids in the imagery 
as voids in the imagery without voids in the data, but it's all holes in 
the forest visible on Bing, but not in the data.
