As for the tech support complaints, the only ones that would complain are
the ones that are running their own smtp servers behind their dialup

which suddenly stop working when you install the block, (I had two call
and complain)
and that gives me an opportunity to ask them why they are doing this in

The response was 'um, ah, err, gee, I'll get back to you' (likely spammer) or
'I don't know, I thought I had to to use my domain address'.
