That's certainly a large compromise if we did want to include it.

These numbers might be misleading. From
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp .. If you go down and
hit the download for the JRE, you will see that the solaris installer
of JRE 6 is 17 mb (x86), 6 mb(64 bit) and spark (23 +9 mb)..

Thus for an install CD for any one platform the max space would be
around 25 mb. Of course if we are to include only the installer, then
the JRE wont be availabel in the Live CD session. However i still
think the 124 mb is big and it would probably reduce to a LOT less if
compresses using the zlib (should compress to under 50 mb).

BeleniX uses zlib in lofi and thus allows ~1.8 Gb worth of stuff on a
CD. This should be the appx amount of stuff  being planned to be
included in Indiana default.
