Yes we are looking for the SMS messaging. And post it to our site also.

Do you use Iowa School Alerts? Free...currently no sms, though-if that's
what you are solely looking for. A few other places we notify & put it on
the home page.

We use Twitter for sending text messages to cell phones. People can sign up
for a Twitter account and then turn on the settings to send our tweets to
their cell phone. Parents don't have to ever go back to the Twitter log-in
again once they are set up if they choose not to post.

Unfortunately, this morning when I went to post our school closing, the
Twitter website said that there were too many people tweeting and I had to
come back later. It took about 20 minutes to finally get in. This is the
first time I've come across this problem though.

Well I finally got my sno-cap that we entered in this morning around 8:30.
We are looking at Twitter but does that allow text message to be sent to the
community?

Ours worked. However, I get the messages on my work phone, which was signed
up a couple years ago, right away, but my new personal cell phone doesn't
get the messages until over an hour later. I've noticed that the web site
often seems out of date.

Are any of you using SnowCap and if so are you having issues with it.
Okoboji's SnowCap is not working and we are wondering if it is a system wide
issue.
