Side note: First this hashtable was in production use for zone installation. There I clone global zone to local, copying all registered in package database files to local zone using cpio but only for subset of packages - creating filenames input for cpio, excluding kernel packages and shared packages. For this again performance is priority number one, two and three and hashtable works very well.
