> Custom Icons
InterMapper provides a facility for adding custom icons into your maps. Custom
icons are graphical images such as PNG, JPEG, or other graphic format that
will be used to represent items in a map. The default icons in InterMapper are
32x32 pixels, although any size is accepted. InterMapper does not currently
handle GIF images, and will display a generic icon when it encounters a GIF
file.
InterMapper respects areas of images that are transparent. This allows the background to show through, and avoids a "white rectangle" behind the icon.
The image files must be placed in the Custom Icons folder inside the
InterMapper Settings folder. You may create sub-folders (one level deep)
within the Custom Icons folder. InterMapper will treat these as icon sets, and
they will be shown separately in the Icon chooser window, as shown at the
right.
I've tried the stuff mentioned above with Intermapper 4.1.1 under OXS 10.2.6. But it did not worked.
This should all be working.
Could you email me directly ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and let me know what format the icons are in, where you've put them, etc., how you've determined that they're not working. Thanks.
If you're using the client/server version and you've added subdirectories to the Custom Icons folder, you may need to restart the client.
Also, we've made some minor fixes in 4.1.2b1 (http://www.intermapper.com/binaries/test.html), although I doubt you would have encountered the problems they fix.
