I like that as an additional option (and Growl is way cool) if
there's a way to implement that functionality cross-platform. IM
runs on ~10 more platforms than Growl. :-/
In the Windows version (any others?), there is a somewhat similar
option in Console for Windows System Tray pop-up bubbles.
I guess to the extent that that feature is already cross-platform
(not sure), the "only" additional trick required for you may be to
port the feature to Intermapper Remote?
(I'm never on Console and honestly haven't seen the bubbles in action
yet, so YMMV!)
