One additional note:
The default behavior of the Status window actually seems to be to
HIDE the Reason below the visible edge of the window. It's so
consistent that it seems like it might even be on purpose.
Thanks every one for the comments. Matt, and anyone else, could you
tell me what probes you're seeing this hiding behavior with? (I'd
welcome screen shots sent off-list to [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you want
to share, too.)
Thanks.

This happens for me with Host Resources and HTTP probes all the time.
Open the Status window, and the reason is not visible until you
scroll down (Windows version 4.4.4).
Because it's not immediately visible, I've had to point out to
colleagues on numerous occasions that the reason for warnings and
alarms is actually available in the Status window, and then show them
where to find it.
I'd like to see the Reason directly under the Status (Status is Down,
Reason is ...)
If the Status window always zoomed to show the entire contents when
opened, this wouldn't be such a big issue.
