git-svn is really slow when you check out a huge repository. And PHP- SRC
will be huge. So it might be worth to export nightly git repos and to
provide a space for developers to create personal repositories from that
nightly repos for collaboration (think re2c, PDO_MYSQLND, etc. pp.)

BTW: I talked to some mercurial developers at a recent google code event here in Zurich. They said that their svn bridging is still not at the same level as that of git, but its being actively addressed.
