You know it would help if your arguments were self consistent.

there's nothing inconsistent between those two statements. yes, we need to be able to renumber, but not without adequate notice and overlap, and not in a way that invalidates the identifiers that apps use to refer to their peers.


(and no, DNS names are not sufficient)
