ipv6 fragmentation does not work reliably on the internet and is highly
unlikely to do so in your career's lifetime.

yes, pmtud is the right thing, but it can not be relied on.  get over
it.

ip frags are not gonna work reliably no matter what generates them.
it's annoying.  it's a damned shame.  but it's reality.  get over it.
