I didn't realize Mike had modified his "exalted carrier" set to LW.  He used
in the one active device MW contest before last and won, if memory serves,
in 2005.  Here's the description.  He is a almost "savant" without the idiot
part when it comes to these homebrew radios and he sure makes a beautiful
set:

In the 2007 1AD contest (rules allow multiple devices, divide raw score by
number of active devices.  An IC is 10 active devices.) Mike won with
a modern homodyne 2 active device with no external antenna.  He devasted the
competion with over 600000 pounts.  Next closest was 400000 and he didn't
have to divide his raw score by 2.  Scoring is a power-distance formula.

Mike says this is the finest MW dxing set bar none he has operated including
a Hammie HA180A and Collins 51S-I.  Here's what it looks like:
