davmail. that's why i'm strongly suggesting that you try "native" exchange imap (it's not really native; it's also just a translation layer, but at least it's directly from ms, and it *did* improve (from abysmal to just bad)).
I'm guessing I'm not the only user being forced to communicate with Exchange so this must be a very common problem then..
