Tim/Craig's "httpclient" notion is a good one, but I see you've already done
that.

Taking a look at the code in jakarta-slide, I think it's relatively clear
how the design of httpclient is different from java.net.*, but you might
want to make a point of describing how httpclient is different from the
existing/core API either in the proposal or in the final documentation. 

Otherwise I think it's a good idea.
