Instead of wasting your time designing clones why don't you upgrade your think and design a better product than Arduino which is a s**t. Arduino is an amateur stuff. It has nothing onboard except some dummy connectors. It require a damn shield which once used is breaking the first rule of any design: the testability. If you need to design someting of your own you need stacked shields like the Eiffel Tower (which btw was manufactured in Romania at Resita if you didn't knew).
