P.S.: Just in case that you were thinking "sureru" to be the
potential form of "suru" to do, unfortunately "suru" is one of two
or three irregular verbs in Japanese. (The other commonly found
irregular is "kuru" [to come]). The potential for "suru" is "dekiru"
(to be able to do sthg.). For example, "shuuri wo suru" (to perform
repairs) vs. "shuuri ga dekiru" (to be able to perform repairs).
There is one expression in Japanese using the word "nareru", "Ita ni
nareru" (lit. "To become part of a board"). It means "to become
accustomed to something", if my memory serves me right. A bit
redundant when one considers that just "nareru" by itself means the
same thing. Probably an old idiom from colloquial speech.
