Carl,
I gave Milkshape a quick five minute try. I'm impressed. It has a very
similiar look to 3D Studio Max (but obviously not as full featured - but
along with that comes some simplicity too). This could very well be an
excellent choice for a simple modeling program (certainly the price is
right!). The fact that AVI format tutorials are available is a big plus
too!
