Hello there;

Another thing you can try if your start menu search is missing,

1, go to control panel,
2, enter on programs and features,
3, now tab and enter on,
Turn Windows features on or off link.
Just wait a little until the window populates, Now press the letter "w"
until you hear; Windows search, if the box is unchecked, press the spacebar
to check it.
Now tab and enter on okay.
This will install the Windows Search feature if it was missing or
uninstalled.
Just restart your computer and check the start menu, the search option on
the start menu should be back.

Hi Kliphton,
Does your network icon show in the system tray?
You can access the network and sharing center from there HTH, Rick Justice

You are correct, I have recently added a printer. But typing the whole word
network still brings nothing close except managing network passwords.
Nothing close to what I want.

Can you get what you seek by typing Network? It sounds like you have added
the printer recently and it has something to do with net in the name. You
may have to type more or be more specific about what you seek.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] start menu search box?

Okay, didn't know how to word this question. When I go to the top of my
start menu in windows 7, there is a search box. Up until about 3 weeks ago
when I typed the word "net" it would bring up my network, so I could manage
the devices, see what was connected, and let me make any changes. Now when
I type this word, all it brings up is something to do with my all in one
printer. Even when I go all the way down, it doesn't bring up the network,
it says "see more results" Is there any way to reset this without
restoring to factory defaults?
