you could try the following:
1. In the start menu search box, type in network.
2. If you press up arrow, can you find the programs header. If so there 
should be a number in parenthesis after the word header. This is the total 
number of programs that have matched your search - only some are displayed 
in the start menu. What is the number.
3. With the programs header selected, press enter. Windows explorer opens 
showing all the search results in the programs group. Can you find network 
in these results?

Okay, didn't know how to word this question. When I go to the top of my
start menu in windows 7, there is a search box. Up until about 3 weeks ago
when I typed the word "net" it would bring up my network, so I could manage
the devices, see what was connected, and let me make any changes. Now when
I type this word, all it brings up is something to do with my all in one
printer. Even when I go all the way down, it doesn't bring up the network,
it says "see more results" Is there any way to reset this without
restoring to factory defaults?
