Hi, the short answer is no. a drop box link via yor "Public" dropbox folder can
be used by anyone you send it to and they do not need dropbox in the free or
paid setup. The only time one needs to have drop box on your computer and on
the person you are sharing files with is when you are using a "shared" folder
of which you ot the other party has invited one to share a folder that links
your PC and theirs. When this happens whatever you put in that shared folder
shows up on their PC in a folder of the same name and vice versa.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Drop Box with JAWS14/Win7

Hello,

Is it true that if I put a folder with bunch of files as a public folder in my
drop box account , then send the drop box link for that folder to another
person, that in order for them to fetch and download the folder and all its
files on their Pc, they need to have a drop box account and also install drop
box on their computer/?
If so it's a deal breaker of some sorts as I'd prefer the recipient to be able
to click on the folder link on their end and download the folder/files without
being forced to create a drop box account and install drop box on their Pc.

Thanks
