It is an excellent idea.
There are already a plenty of OSS EJBs available out there.
It would be better if we just prepare a comprehensive list of all freely 
available EJBs for respective domains and host the list somewhere. For those 
EJBs (source) which do not have a place to host on the web we can have a 
project opened at Source Forge or at any other open source initative which 
encourages and keep the source updated there.

Any other ideas??
