Hi Stephen,
I do not have strong opinions or preferences about JENA-119.
Having separate symbols is not ideal, but it allows people to
enable/disable
or tune each feature (in this case spilling on disk) separately (and I do
agree that when these things become more and more... separately is a
problem).
I am not too concern of a symbol name change for a newly introduced
symbol
which is switched off by default.
So, I am neutral about this. I do not see JENA-119 as a blocker for a
release.
Also, I hope we will be doing releases more often, in particular, at the
beginning. So, if JENA-119 does not make it the first release, it will be
in the second (not too long after).
Agree but I note that a release cycle is going to be longer than pre-SF
days.
You mean pre-ASF?
Why?
We were doing sort-of continuously RC nearly all the time so a
release could be done rapidly but it assumed developer synchronization.
The other transition problem is the number of items - by taking the
direct route of leaving the artifact structure as it was, we have 3 core
artifacts and various other ones so, practically, we have to make best
use of incubator oversight.

JIRA is 503 at the moment...

Hi,
today, I have time to work on Jena.
What are the JIRA issues to fix before a release?
