I don't know if this question has been asked by anybody else and I know
that someone did email me with the same problem but has the JFW 3.2 and 3.3
versions been tested with different sound cards?
I ask this because a lot of people when I read their postings to this list
say they use JFW with the Soundblaster live card and it works well with
software synthesisers like Eloquence yet some of us who have bought sound
cards who use JFW find the software synthesisers don't speak for some
reason which means that a sighted person needs to be available for
installing the product.
This happened with me with the JFW 3.2 version and my soundblaster pro
card.
The WAV files played and I had all the wav files played like welcome to
Jaws for windows installation up to all the stuff about "please wait while
Doctor Jaws looks at your system" and Eloquence didn't take me through the
instructions.
I still haven't managed to get it to speak using Eloquence so I am still
just using my Apolo 2 synthesiser.
Is anyone using Jaws for windows with a software synthesiser through a
soundblaster pro card or has anyone found a solution to the problem of
software synthesisers not speaking through soundcards?
