Well, I switched to Outlook, because we are going to it at work. I will
tell you that I have been dissatisfied with Eudora ever since JFW 3.3 came
out, at least on my home system. At work, running Eudora 4.1 and JFW 3.3,
for some reason it works better. Outlook is quite responsive with JFW. I
think you are correct when you state that HJ has worked hard on access to
Outlook. It's a Microsoft product, and therefore, perceived, in my opinion,
to be used more by people at work. I believe HJ has put a lot of effort
into what they perceive to be work-based applications, at least in the
recent past. I'm not suggesting that HJ has no interest in the home-based
user, but I have read that they have working relationships with the Social
Security Administration and Citibank, to name a couple, and that leads me to
this conclusion. It's not a condemnation of HJ, just a statement of where I
believe their biases are, and everybody hcertainly has those. Anyway, I
think you can learn Outlook if you wish to. Setting up rules, the
equivalent of filters in Eudora, is more complex in Outlook, and of course,
Eudora has the reply to author script which Outlook does not have. Outlook
98 has a calendar and other features, Outlook Express is primarily for
e-mail and news group reading. If you decide to go to Outlook 98, I'll be
glad to assist if I can.
