Albert, I always bring up my email program as well as my internet browser.
I have the email program set to automatically check for emails every 5
minutes.  This usually is sufficient to keep the ISP from disconnecting me.
If the ISP has a shorter interval of inactivity, just set the email program
to check for emails at that length of time and it works.
