Dear jarjum, i think the so called religion of the tribes, the animistic one, with no idols, no temples was so much more beautiful and closer to nature than waht many religions today have become. there is an attempt, isn't there, to ritualise theose animistic traditions and convert them to this or that religion.
perhaps you could tell us a little more about those traditions that you have little time to practice now. that would be so enlightening and bring more mening to this endless talk of humanity being one that everybody keeps talking about but nobody sincerely believes. humanity, we all know, is not one. let us hope that the diversity of thought and practice lives forever and a celebration of that diversity is felt by more people in the next year. anjali deshpande
