INDIA G MANJU SAINATH Worshipping single god cannot ensure protection otherwise Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestenians would have escaped bombing and the US would have looked like Sahara desert. Worshipping God is nothing but a faith that he will protect you but no God in fact can protect you from going to the grave. Anjali says- "one god should be able to make sure that communication problems don't occur and people don't fight since he would not be saddled with the extra responsibilty of fighting other gods." Take the case of Islam for instance. It is based on monotheism. There is one God called Allah, so there should not be communication problem, So 'no more extra responsibility of fighting other gods', in Anjali's words but why there is fight between Shias and Sunnis. Why the sons of Ibrahim- became Muslims, Jews and Christians. Jews call their God Ilohi while Muslims call Ilahi, why is the fight between Jews and Muslims in Israel and Palestine? Though we have four castes and hundreds and thousands of sub-castes and 33 crore Gods and Goddesses, we are hundred times better than the Monotheists in Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine.
