So as not to lose your data, firstly resize your windows partition to create some empty space. This can be (relatively safely) done with PowerQuest PartitionMagic.
When installing Fedora, ***MAKE SURE*** to install on those free partitions, and leave the NTFS XP partitions intact. If the worst happens and you can't boot your XP OS anymore, the data is still there, and all you need to do is stick the XP CD in the drive and recover your MBR.
