Here is the situation : either we use low level functions which are faster, but we aren't sure it is compatible, or we use jquery which is slower. The benchmark of Moi Ce Soir shows the difference, but what we don't know is whether the slow code is made by one or two slow functions or if it is only due to the instructions number.
