So here are the options to vote on
- Single Open... wizard icon in the toolbar using the Folder icon
with the + icon in the bottom left (currently used for open file). The
open file in the menu would also be changed to use a folder icon with a
page on it.
- The Open... wizard icon in the toolbar and the Open File...
wizard with the ESRI style plus icon
I did not include an option to keep the old Load Dataset dialog in this
list.

Copying the ESRI icon is not a good idea as it's their copyright.
I'm still not comfortable with this we only need one icon on the
toolbar the Open... wizard. With an appropriate icon, which I feel is
the Folder with the Plus. Because you are Opening something (file,
database table wms connection etc) to Add as a Layer (well or not in
the case of a project but that's the only weird one)

I didn't think about this. I agree it is better to reduce the number
of ways to access the same functionality. AutoCAD always has 50
different ways to do the same thing, which can lead to confusion,
especially for new users.
