I think you might be onto something there. Kicker is playing up again my new 
profile - it was fine last night night for a couple of hours while I was 
playing around. Got home this afternoon and on the first desktop switch, 
kicker when crazy again. Then I read your mail, switched the pager to 
'Elegant', switched desktops and presto - kicker went back to being 
transparent and seems to want to stay that way!
