Yup.

There's no reason for anyone to ask about what hardware I'm running; if
you're looking for a wireless access point to use free of charge, look
for an open wireless network.  If I didn't want it open, I'd lock it
down.  Asking me if I'm running one is a prelude to theft -- it's not
the access that's being looked for, it's a check on what hardware I
may have available.
