I would sooner retrofit a landing light into the engine cowling. 
The wheels and pants are unsprung and thus can get shaken up
pretty hard on landings. If your stuck with or intent on going with wheel pant
lighting, which actually sounds really cool, consider that incandescent bulb 
filaments 

will likely have a shortened lifespan, and the added weight of  the lighting 
hardware
will put greater loads on the wheel pant mounting points. It would probably do 
to beef up the wheel pant structure to take the added loads. If it were me I 
would 

consider making the lighted nose of the wheel pant removable and the light
adjustable, make my best guess at aiming, and then just go fly and see if 
liked it.
