Larry, the so called "PORT" 1 or 2 from what I can figure is more of a pair
of data busses to the cards E1 and E2. I have ruled out them meaning much
else. Power fail ports are on the CO cards not the Extension cards. I can
see then no reason to populate this Program 133 at all. Who cares if call ID
works in power fail? There is no reason why Call ID will not work on all
extensions SLT side once working. Brad

try  listening for cid on analog side of port 1 then port 2.   as i 
recall the 171 can send on port 1 or port 2 but not both, nor port 3-8.

also, do you have dial tone on the analog side of port 1 and 2?

never understood why you could select port 1 or 2, unless they were 
attempting to avoid the power fail transfer (that exists on port 1 and 2)

btw you can hook a bunch of cheap cid boxes (that don't have msg wait 
detect- simple display only has a very low load factor ~100K)  to the 
cid port.
