I think we are onto something. It's the last 2 port (one or the other) on the TD171 card that can ONLY support the LEC CID.
I'm using the default numbering plan for extensions so need to use a different extension to get the LEC CID. I'll will test and report back. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brad Allen Sent: Sunday, June 03, 2012 9:33 PM To: 'Panasonic KX-T telephone system discussion list' Subject: Re: KX-T: KX-TD171 & TD1232 - final John, with the CID box disconnected, I take it you are not getting the CID packet noise. Now the other thing I noticed is that with the later cabinets, there is some chatter about using a card with a "C" as the last digit of a serial number. My interpretation of what Port 1 and 2 are is quite right. It does send it to one of the first two ports on the card. Be it Sta 17 and 18 or 25 and 26. I would also try a different phone at that station. Try a 7400 series phone. Be sure it does not have parallel turned on by doing a 799 at the extension. Take a look in your User Guide for Data Security and do the disable command on BOTH the electronic and analog stations. I take it you did what I said to no avail. You also could at the extreme, take a copy of the cabinet, totally default the whole thing and reload. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John Burk Sent: Sunday, June 03, 2012 9:28 PM To: 'Panasonic KX-T telephone system discussion list' Subject: Re: KX-T: KX-TD171 & TD1232 - final I'm catching up to all of the emails just now. Here are some additional details.... I'm using extension for the phone (model 7230) and then x227 for the SLT coming right off of the XDP port of the 7230 phone. I have a SLT cheap CID box plugged into the XDP port. I have a mixture of 7456, 7453 and 7230's in use. When I place a call into the system the XDP rings but simply isn't displaying CID. The CID continues to display on the digital phone screen. In system programming I have set port 1 to send out the CID. (Originally I thought port 2 was the XDP but from a phone conversation with Brad, I found out that port 2 is digital and port 1 analog) It's as if the software isn't taking my requests to send CID to the XDP port. My software is a -5 in both cabinets. Either way, I'm still stuck in trying to get CID to the XDP port of extension 127. Any additional suggestions? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brad Allen Sent: Sunday, June 03, 2012 2:45 PM To: 'Panasonic KX-T telephone system discussion list' Subject: Re: KX-T: KX-TD171 & TD1232 - final Larry, program 133 says no caller ID will go to the xdp port if in parallel mode, but it will work on the digital side. T1 card ;-) hope you get yours working -larry I stuffed a 171 in my shop 816-3 set expand(109) to E set the following using port 9 (171 E1=port 1 (133)) then enabled xdp port 9. (600) when i call in i get double ring on ext 209 (xdp analog pair) then HEAR cid tone on butt set then the next rings are single rings, and no more tones. cid is fine on digital phones. but the cid tone will not display on 3 different cid boxes, but one will blink like it tried. the tone sounds too short for name and number. need to find my junk box with the cid box assortment. the double ring bothers me too, I have devices (fax) that will not decode after a double ring. will see if there is a fudge bit in 990 to change level or format. -larry, _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
