I think we are onto something. It's the last 2 port (one or the other) on the TD171 card that can ONLY support the LEC CID.
I'm using the default numbering plan for extensions so need to use a different extension to get the LEC CID. I'll will test and report back. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Larry Sent: Sunday, June 03, 2012 10:18 PM To: Panasonic KX-T telephone system discussion list Subject: Re: KX-T: KX-TD171 & TD1232 - final Extension 127 will default to system extension port 27, which is the THIRD port of add on card 2 (E2). master system has bottom internal ext card with port 01-08, middle internal ext card with port 09-16, and top is internal co card (co1-co8) master bottom slot can be addon 170/171 card port 17-24 and middle slot can be addon (depends where you set expansion E1 and E2, 3 slots count from bottom of cabinet.) what i described would show in 109 as E1,E2,CO (if a 180 was in the top slot) 170/171 card port 25-32. the 171 will only connect to port 01/02, 09/10, 17/18 or 25/26 (133) sets either port 1 (odd number) 01/09/17/25 or port 2 (even number) 02/10/18/26 each port has pair 1 (wh/be) "analog" and pair two (wh/or) "digital", apits sets use both pairs and cannot be used with the cid port, dpits sets only use pair 2 and can be used, and the first pair shows up on the xdp jack on the set that can be to a cid box. I tested only using pair one on my port 09 to a sony cidphone. i enabled xdp on my port09 (600) my port 09 digital pair is extension 109, and the analog pair is 209. this all assumes default extension numbering, but the extension doesn't really matter, its only the first or second port of each card group of 8 ports that can serve cid. (each will be an addon card) one problem is terminology, each card has 8 ports, and each port has a digital pair and an analog pair. maybe that will help you find what port your 171 sets at, then you need to set 133 to point at card E1 or E2, then either port 1 or two on that card. set enable xdp for that port (600) try different caller id boxes, i had three that would not work. if you are on the right pair, you will hear a broken ring followed in about 1/4 second the fsk tone. good luck -l John Burk wrote: > I'm catching up to all of the emails just now. > > Here are some additional details.... > > I'm using extension for the phone (model 7230) and then x227 for the > SLT coming right off of the XDP port of the 7230 phone.
