Very nicely done, Sue!!

I think Milanese is a wonderful lace! Working the various trails gave me lots of opportunity to practice ways to improve my tension. I enjoy Milanese because the projects generally don't take forever to complete, they make nice framed gifts, the patterns are wonderful worked in color - and it's great fun to use the colored silks. And although I got side-tracked and didn't pursue it, designing in Milanese is something that would be very satisfying.

While the UK and Europe still have the distinction of having the most (and the best) lacemaking teachers, I can safely say that in the US, we are very fortunate to have Louise Colgan, who is such a joy to study with, and who is of the same caliber as the best of our teachers across the pond. I've always enjoyed her classes. It's wonderful that she has done a DVD for those who cannot take her workshops.
