In general it takes 10.000 hours to become an expert. That is 3 hours a day, 7 days a week for 10 years.
I did a workshop once with three pair stars. The novices had no more trouble than with any other new trick. The muscle memory got in the way for the veterans. For them it was very hard if not impossible. I rather keep the flexibility to explore new worlds.
