Hi Folks:

I have a process involving raterising PDF document into JPEG preview
for browser viewing. In most cases, the JPEG images tend to be too
bright. I mean it is brighter than the PDF document in Adobe Acrobat.

I think Adobe is doing some profiling on PDF document to get a perfect
look. I am thinking whether or not it is possible to apply a profile on
the JPEG to produce a closer to Acrobat for image.

I know there is "jpegicc" which applies profile to JPEG image. But I do
not know what profile I can apply to image so that image can have a closer
look to Acrobat Viewer. Any ideas? I can supply some comparable images if
you need.

Hi Phillip,
could you please tell, how you did convert from PDF to JPEG (commands used, options, etc)?
I can't assess right now if I will be able to help you with your problem, but if you send the PDF file and the resulting JPEG file, then at least I'll take a look.

Regards,
Gerhard
