Phillip,I am not quite sure about CSA (honestly, I do not even know what it stands for). Is it possible for you send my your csa and try it out on gs?
CSA stands for "Color Space Array". A CSA defines a CIE based color space, it is more or less the postscript equivalent to an ICC profile. The postscript file I sent you, basically defines a CSA for the SWOP color space, and additionally remaps DeviceCMYK colors to this CIE based color space. While this remapping appears to work as expected for the DeviceCMYK colors used in your first PDF file, appearently it does not work with your 2nd PDF file. The major difference is, that your 2nd PDF file uses "separation" color spaces for all colors. If I remember correctly, gs > version 8.0 is required for the full support of spot colors and separations, and I only have version 7.05. Maybe unsing a recent gs version (8.11) may solve this problem, but of course I don't know for sure.
