Hi Doug,
If it "doesn't display anything", I'd say the problem is probably java-related - even though, I've never seen it not display anything at all. On a Browser without VM installed, you should at least see some form of "get the plugin" page. The firewall monitor running on top of the weblet has stopped functioning. It does not display anything in the window when I double-click on the firewall monitor link in the weblet page.I've issued a "killall -HUP inetd" to no avail. I would rather not restart the router if at all. What else can I do to re-enable the firewall monitor to start working?
What kind of browser and which Java-VM are you using?
It could also be due to a buggy VM in the browser - I've seen java applets load only partially and then stop leaving a gray space, where the applet should have been - in this case, there's usually an error message in the java console window (where that is largely depends on what kind of browser/VM one is using). In these cases, doing a reload on the page sometimes helped.
It really doesn't sound like there's anything you need to do on the router-side - if the server component (which is started by inetd) wouldn't start, or if the firewall was blocking traffic, you'd at least see "no data" in the status window.
I hope that helps
Martin
