Not much. I listened to the Officious YR broadcast on the way home and he just sounded embarrassed. Unlike the weekend, he wouldn't blame any individual but he did point out a couple of interesting (if slightly concerning observations):
He knew Becchio was "running on empty" and planned to take him off at half-time but asked for another 10 minutes from him Clayton was also "running on empty" or "had no legs" - I forget which cliché he used. Once it was clear we were taking a hiding, there wasn't much he could do to change it. He joked with EG that he was fit enough to be in contention for the next match. He wants to give squad players a chance to prove themselves, but (and this is reading between the lines) - he already knows they're bags of a**e worse than the starting eleven and would rather ship them out on loan so they can be sold on, hence the EG comment previously. He thought at least two positions lost the plot at the magnitude of the cr*p we were playing and dropped their heads. They may avoid a rollocking, but that is only because he sees little point and will drop them as soon as he has the chance and especially for any future crunch matches... (I paraphrased a bit there). The quotes on the BBC site are a fair summary. -----Original Message----- From: leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org [mailto:leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org] On Behalf Of Mark Smith Sent: 21 March 2012 00:01 To: leedslist@gn.apc.org Subject: Re: [LU] Forest humiliation What did Colin say after the match? _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
